Over 300 top American universities and colleges have shut down thier campuses, and have asked their students to leave hostel accommodation.More than 2,00,000 Indian students are enrolled in various academic institutions there.They account for the second largest number of international students after China. CoronaVirus pandemic has led to severe travel restrictions in both India and the US. The visa conditions that permit Indian students to stay in the US only for physical classes has put these students in a spot.
To take stock of ground realities We reached out to a young and dynamic Indian student of Houston University Ms Rich Shukla. Richa is doing her MS in power systems and is living in an apartment sharing with other students .We present here the discussion that she had with the Indian students of Houston University depicting how their day to day lives are affected. Listen in with bated breath the acute challenges these young boys and girls are facing far away from home becoming a support for each other.
