“They try to justify using a wooden spoon or belt to spank their children with the “rod scripture”. The rod is perhaps one of the most misinterpreted words in the entire Bible. It is often used by many parents to justify their use of spanking. Let me point out that is not what God meant by “rod.” It is not a tool for correction or discipline, it’s a tool of protection and a symbol of love. I remember when milena made a video saying “just bc a child is tiny or smaller than you, and hasn’t developed vocabulary as you, why would you think it’s okay to hit them?” I guess she’s changed her mind.:/”
