Excellent window into the creative process
This Jonathan Mann guy is alright by me. I’m really enjoying the conversational — and surprisingly vulnerable — peek into a creator at work. As adept and prolific a songwriter as he is, he doesn’t present himself as a teacher. Rather, he gives people a rare chance to watch a lifelong learner at work finding joy, sorrow, inspiration, and angst in his drive to create. Oh, and I could just listen to him noodle around for hours on end. Yeah, scratch that “alright by me” comment. Jonathan Mann is totally boss.

The honesty and authenticity of this podcast is stunning. I love the theme song so much! Please link to it in the show notes. I'd listen to that on repeat for hours!Read full review »

It’s really fun to get an insight to making a song. Mann has such a relaxed and open approach. Anybody interested in songwriting should hear this. I’m so looking forward to the next episode!

I enjoyed the “think aloud” aspect of this podcast and listening to what goes into making a song about any random thing. I would share this with any creative person, not just musical thinkers.
