Invaluable to the APA population, but important for non-Asians too
Living in Iowa, mostly rural and white, it’s incredibly helpful to me to recognize that a lot of the struggles associated with being Asian are felt everywhere across this country. The benefit of (maybe just initially) highlighting prominent Asian-Americans is the same for our community as it is for external ones: it gives us an access point through which we can understand more complex racial and societal issues, but also surprises with guest opinions that show just how heterogeneous our group really is. I love that every episode in some way slightly breaks the expectation of “good Asian behavior” with a little sprinkling of profanity. Fantastic podcast.

Woke, thoughtful, and political. I can’t wait for them to post more. At the top of the first episode, the host hit some issues on the head that I grapple with all the time. So cool that the racial anxieties I’ve dealt with my whole life are being voiced in an authentic, compelling way.
