Jenny you do you & Mic stay classy
Let me keep my excitement down as I don’t want to come across as a crazyfan but this podcast picked me up when I was feeling the most down, especially during my boring WFH days. SEASON 1: Chaotic, raunchy yet hilarious, Fumi hentai and overall a bit bro-ey but weirdly insightful like a 2am convo after a night of smoking 420 and playing Mario kart for 4hrs with your drunk friends-vibe. The guests were amazing and till this day I cannot get over Margaret Cho’s episode & relisten from time to time. SEASON 2: Therapy-induced, f33ls, still hilarious and chaotic sometimes, but more like sipping wine around the bonfire and overeating s’mores at a big bear weekend trip with your best friends-vibe. Jenny is a whole mood (IDC what you say other reviewer who told her to calm her insecurities & anxiety SMH) and I think she embodies a lot of the many thoughts and feelings that Asian American millennials face in the US, but with the humor and grace that is uniquely Jenny. Mic leveled up frreal because his wisdom multiplied x10 & I think part of that has to do with the kind of conversations he has with Jenny and the topics they cover that maybe they didn’t cover in Season 1. They really peel back the layers of being Asian in Season 2 and break it down, which I haven’t found in other Asian-led podcasts lately. Love you guys and the work that you do!

2 guys talking style podcast - the hosts have great chemistry and the topics are lighthearted but also relevant to the Asian American experience; can relate a lot when they talk about their personal lives/childhoods; also ricecookers Discovered via r/asianamerican

Mic and Fumi are bringing a fresh and hilarious perspective to all things related to the asian community. Their new episodes each week make Mondays a lot more pleasant!

I came on to this a little late but I have been listening non-stop for 3-4 weeks. On the way to work, at work, on the way home. It’s refreshing to hear some uncensored conversation about being Asian, specially Asian American. There’s things I never even thought about until I started listening....Read full review »
