“I am a huge fan of the At Peace Parents Podcast! The content serves as a survival guide in real time for myself and my family, with everything I have now implemented in my home finally working after years of poor advice. The podcast offers a great balance of scientific theory and practical application linked specifically to the core triggers of PDA. Casey is engaging and easy to listen to throughout the duration of the podcasts and often builds upon theory from earlier content which we can’t hear enough of. The podcasts are relevant and cover a wide range of scenarios which equips parents with both the knowledge to advocate for their children and the tools to accommodate them. Implementing an accommodation framework has rescued my son from burnout and helped my family to once again find peace. As a parent I feel that I have finally found a community that understands and is actively guiding me on this journey of uncharted territory. I no longer feel to blame for my parenting of a child with a disability and rather feel empowered that intuitively I continue to make decisions based on what is best for my son accepting that sadly many of the professionals out there have a lot of catching up to do when it comes to PDA. Casey’s online course content has also been incredibly beneficial to me as both a practical guide at home but also in informing other professionals about how to set my son up for success rather than failure. Pivotal to this is the understanding of polyvagal theory which, I believe, every parent should grasp an understanding of in order to provide the safest nervous system to their child. This content has been game changing for me and I also appreciate that Casey often shares her recommendations of other authors within this space which allows for wider reading too.”
