Solemnity of Saint Mary of the Cross (McKillop): To celebrate the Feast of St Mary McKillop, the Church has wisely chosen a Gospel text from Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount. It is perfect. It touches on the aspect of Mary’s life that led her to sanctity. In the face of many challenges, she recognised that all beauty and goodness comes from an unfailing trust in God.
