If any part of you is thinking ‘what could be more earnest than a podcast about aid workers’ dispel those rumblings now! Awake At Night is an utterly compelling mix of raw, personal, utterly fascinating stories. Frontline staff talking about their experiences of being kidnapped, bombed, attacked in the line of work, and being totally honest about the trauma of working in some of the remotest corners of the world trying to look after refugees in the immediate aftermath of a crisis and how that impacts on their own well being, mental health, and outlook on life. Stunningly beautiful, quite extraordinary individual stories - not just of the interviewees but also of those that they’ve met along the way.
