Christ’s agenda was not to promote breaking the law or stir rebellion—he was no rebel without a cause. His agenda was to heal, restore, and free the lonely, oppressed, and imprisoned. Christ’s accusers displayed self-centered jealousy and a hunger for authority, power, and control. However, Christ displayed selflessness and the desire to free and empower others.
