“Awsten and Travis are magnificent storytellers, both in voice and in writing. Travis’ use of a monotone voice allows the listeners to dive into the story without being pushed too much or getting distracted in between the lines of the bizarre writing. Awsten, however, transports the listeners into his own mind. His hilarious ad-libs and sidetracking can aid the listener into a deeper, more meaningful understanding of the stories themselves. While some of these stories may have no real tale, Awsten and Travis make up for it. Their reviews go beyond good or bad, as they expand into the writing style, artistic standpoint, and how creative the author gets. Some stories may seem disturbing, but they continue to power through, not worrying about how they sound and continuing to do this for the listeners. Travis’ experience with novel writing helps the listener develop a deeper understanding of rhetoric and how these certain pieces of fan fiction appeal to those who read it, and why both he and Awsten cannot put these down. Overall, a pleasant experience that allows us to dive down into storytelling, and how our imaginations can create greater, more amazing things.”
