“Stop me if you’ve heard this one before.
You listen to a lot, or a few, gaming podcasts and you wanted to try listening to one that’s a little more specific and not only a “what’s up? Whatcha been playing? News? Emails?” video game podcast. I love those podcasts BUT I’ve fallen for Axe of the Blood God. The hosts have a wonderful camaraderie between them, deep knowledge on the genre and are generally just fun to hear banter. I enjoy the variety of segments show to show but I so very much appreciated the community-led topics that become episodes like the top 25 RPG episode and the post-mortem on that topic later.
The pantheon episodes are especially great if you enjoy heady dives into specific games.
I came in looking for something specific to scratch an itch, but like some of the best RPGs being excellent games overall, this podcast is just the best. Period.”
