24/03/18 Getting Started In Azure
Listen now
Description
Getting started with the cloud can be scary and feel like you're in an ocean alone. There are also mountains of content out there from certifications, to quick starts, to guides that will cost you credits or money to do. I believe the best way to learn is to do and to use the free offerings of Azure to learn for free. The first resource I usually point people to is Azure Static Sites. You can get one for free, you get a free SSL cert so you have HTTPS (a lock in your url), and can host whatever for FREE! As a web developer, I think a great first goal for anyone is to host a website on the internet and this is a great, lowcost way to do that. We will discuss how to do that and any shortfalls of this approach for enterprises.
