Listening to a podcast, for the first Time
As s a huge German Babylon 5 fan this Podcast is an absolute jewel. This is my very first Podcast ever and Babylon 5 a show that helped me through a pretty rough time during german grammar-school back in the late 90s an early 00s. Being bullied not only by other kids but also by teachers this show helped me to realize that in the end bullies get what they deserve, and one has to stay true to oneself. In this Podcast two Star Trek fans, watching this series for the very first time, manage to show that the conception of a storyline or even a character can differ from personal viewpoint such as experience and age (for example Franklin, loved him as a teen, don’t like him as an adult for pretty much the same reasons Brent and Jeff mention multiple times during their podcast). Revisiting the show as an adult and listening to the opinions of Brent and Jeff it becomes clear that this show has a quality beyond the time it was written in and has some important massages that are relevant to the present day, maybe even more than by the time this show was produced. “Those who cannot learn from history are doomed to repeat it.” ~Ivanova in S01E04 Infection The strict policy of no-spoilers makes this show so much more fun to listen to adding all those ‘just you wait’ moments for everyone who loves this show so much and I remember sitting in my car more than once bursting out with laughter about how far off or accurate their predictions have been. Keep on with your wonderful work because I just can‘t wait for more!

Podcast by two mucus-covered manchildren who are incapable of watching an epic story unfold without making completely inane references and comparisons to their favorite children’s show.

Listening to these two is the absolute highlight of my week. Jeff and Brent obviously have a passion and respect for sci-fi and deliver thoughtful and humorous analysis from the perspective of two newbies to the series. It’s refreshing to see the show with new eyes after all these years. Highly...Read full review »
