Hwee-Fong Yong is chair of the Women in Security group in Singapore, under the auspices of ASIS, and has over two decades of experience developing, planning and managing Safety and Security, Risk Management and Business Continuity protocols - most recently in a premises where she is responsible for the safety and security of over 11,000 employees. In this episode of Back to Source, she discusses the unique challenges and opportunities that women in the industry experience, particularly in the Asia Pacific region. She also explores her first role as a firefighter, and how the lessons learned in this physical security position informed her subsequent career in corporate security.
