Ihor broke the world record for an assist in a Backyard Ultra just recently at Big's Backyard Ultra Individual World Championships when he ran for 107 hours.  He is one of only eight people to have broken the 100 hour barrier and he did it in only his third Backyard.

Brendan Verrier is an ultra runner from Alice Springs.  In May this year Brendan broke the track record at the West Macs Standley Monster over 65km.  A few months later he ran in his first Backyard Ultra at The Red Centre Wringer and finished as the Last One Standing.

Adam is the man behind the TV show 'Search4hurt'.  Season 4 of Search4hurt is going to be ultra exciting as it is going to feature its contestants running at Mirrim Wurnit Backyard Ultra in March.  The application process to be a contestant sounds like a lot of fun too.

Robbie is a race director and runner.  He is the main man behind North Vic Backyard Ultra's and just over a week ago saw the second year running of his Backyard Ultra in Shepparton 'GV Last Man Standing'.

When it comes to running ultra's Brick has almost done it all.  He is adding race director to his running CV at the moment as he gears up to host Sydney's first Backyard Ultra, the inaugural 'Bricks Backyard Ultra'.

Margie is the Australian female Backyard Ultra record holder, she broke the record last year when she ran 47 yards for team Australia at the Satellite World Championships.  Just recently she was the last one standing at Birdys Backyard when she ran 46 yards.

Harvey Lewis ran his first Backyard Ultra at Bigs in 2017.  He was the Last One Standing at The World Championships at Bigs in 2021 when he ran 85 yards, which broke the world record at the time.  Harvey also ran at The Backyard Masters at Dead Cow Gully this year when he ran 90 yards and he will be defending his world championship crown at Bigs this year in October.

Hendrik was the Last One Standing for team Germany at the Satellite World Champs last year, earning himself a golden ticket to Bigs.  Also, he was recently the assist at Suffolk Backyard Ultra when he ran 81 yards, which places him 11th of all time.

The inaugural running of Reds Backyard Ultra was held just over a week ago.  Barry Keem was the Last One Standing running 35 yards and Red Barnett was the race director.  We had a great time talking about how the race was conceived, run and won.

Chris has run in five Backyard Ultra's and was part of the Australian team at the Satellite World Champs last year.  This weekend he is running at Birdys Backyard Ultra.  As well as running in the race he is also going to be creating a piece of artwork during the time he has spare between loops.

Miguel is a race director from Venezuela and he is responsible for introducing the Backyard Ultra format to the country.  So far Miguel and his team have organised 5 Backyard Ultra's including the Venezuelan leg that took part in the Satellite World Championships last year.

Liv and Kirsty are close friends and training partners from the 'Whitsundays' region in Northern QLD.  They ran at the Australian Backyard Masters and were the last two females standing with Liv running 35 yards and Kirsty running 32.

Aaron (63 yards), Tim (55 yards) and Johan (43 yards) all ran PB's at the Australian Backyard Masters at Dead Cow Gully.  They spent a lot of the race working together and formed a bond that made the race even more memorable.

Just last week Phil was the Last One Standing at The Australian Masters at Dead Cow Gully.  Incredibly, Phil ran 684km in 102 hours which broke the previous world record.  In this episode Phil came on and we discussed his record breaking performance.

Jennifer broke the Female World Record recently at Capital BYU when she ran for 74 hours covering 496km.  She has twice been a member of Team USA and is also going to be running in the Individual World Championship at Bigs later this year in October.

Shaun Collins is a runner and Event Director from New Zealand.  He is one of four people to successfully finish 'The Revenant' and set himself a personal challenge of running a 310km route around Auckland in 52 hours which he successfully completed.  Shaun is running in his 3rd Backyard Ultra in just over a week when he runs at The Australian Masters at Dead Cow Gully.

Sam is the Backyard Ultra national record holder in New Zealand with 46 yards.  He is coming to The Masters at Dead Cow Gully next month where he has his eyes set on breaking the world record before he heads to the BYU World Championships in Tennessee.
