“Overall I like the format and subject matter of the podcast, and think it has potential.
However, when you guys bring on an Expert maybe, I dunno, respect her expertise? The amount of mansplaining Reggie goes into is pretty cringeworthy, at one point after Emily describes some of the goals of her INSIGHT project, he feels the need to correct her by adding his own 2 cents. Like, dude, you’re geeky and this stuff excites you and thats great, but she knows what her own damn project is about.
A few minutes later he does it again, where after Emily states “nothing can go faster than light” he contradicts her and says Quantum Entanglement can. He straight up just lays it out as a fact. Now if he’d ASKED HER EXPERT OPINION on the subject, that would have been more appropriate.
Going forward I’d say the host should directly call this out when it happens. Hopefully things improve.”
