Brilliant well researched, well made podcast.
Absolutely hooked, great podcast. Social history is ABSOLUTELY relevant and essential to the Ripper history. Read a lot of social histories of the late 19th/early 20th centuries ( People of the Abyss-jack London,and London Labour and the London Poor- Henry Mayhew, to name a couple) and wondered why the victims and environs were always passed over or ‘fudged’. I’m now off to order book. Well done.

Instead of just sharing her research, the author finds it necessary and, I guess, profitable to construct a narrative that features her as the hero.
