A fantastic podcast focusing on the life and times of the female victims of The Ripper in a bleak Victorian era. Like many murdered women since, they’ve been tainted by their poverty and circumstance, rather than seen as victims. Well done for giving the a voice.

When I subscribed to this I didn’t realise it was by the lady who wrote The Five so I was pleasantly surprised. The negativity and misogyny she attracts is mind boggling! It’s important to know those women were real, not the shamed, subhuman creatures that historically they’ve been characterised....Read full review »

I really don't like the Pushkin style: overproduced and sensationalistic. But, having read Rubenhold's book "The Five," I knew this podcast's actual content would be worthwhile. What Rubenhold tells us about the victims is important, well-researched, and fascinating.Read full review »
