All gloss no substance.
A well made podcast that seems to want to challenge all the previous outcomes of investigations using a narrative of today, and not offering anything new in terms of the real issues other than a blinkered vision that the Ripper victims were not prostitutes. This probably is the only avenue a podcast maker has to go down these days to be different. Definitely has a feminist core to it which is off putting. Little more than an advert for an e-book.

I really don't like the Pushkin style: overproduced and sensationalistic. But, having read Rubenhold's book "The Five," I knew this podcast's actual content would be worthwhile. What Rubenhold tells us about the victims is important, well-researched, and fascinating.Read full review »
