Stop waxing poetic and just tell the story
The narrator takes way too many editorial liberties and tries to make this podcast - ostensibly a documentary podcast - into some type of performance art pseudo historical fiction experiment, using cool words, a fake buttery voice, and his “mellotron” (amongst other gimmicks), to woo and try to capture the attention of the listener. I couldn’t make it through a full episode. Either write a fictional podcast about characters you’ve created or simply tell the stories your purporting to tell in the description. Don’t inject your creative writing and imagination into things you have no way of knowing. Case in point: in the Derek & the Dominos episode, the narrator tells the story as if he’s inside the troubled mind of Eric Clapton, Jim Gordon (drummer), Duane Allman, and some 1920s murderer named Charles Lawson all by at the same time. Impressive, but absolute rubbish. There are plenty of other podcasts, which might not be as clever, but at least they are consistent with their description.

But even if he could, why tell the *real* story when there is so much between the lines? Just 2...Read full review »
