Listen now
Description
This episode is a unique one.  It features, Chris, Akiko, and Matt all playing musical examples, something which doesn’t happen very often.  You will hear how the pianists play the same tune, but in very different ways.  An important skill as a ballet pianist is to be able to rearrange music to make it perfect for the dance, or simply to widen your repertoire by making one tune multifunctional.  You can explore time signature, key signature, rhythm, feel, tempo, colour, harmony, and texture.  They are all changeable which can make a class tune sound completely different. Listen as the personalities come out and David is left guessing who’s arrangement belongs to who.  An episode with a difference which you are sure to love.
