“Every episode of this show is more unhinged than the last. I do not watch anime, but I have listened to this podcast and subscribed to its Patreon for months because the hosts (americas sweetheart Katie rose leon, Alex ptak, and new father Jeremy Hammond) are so funny they make me weep/choke. These hosts are friends which is wholesome. There are consistent healthy doses of (self)deprecation coming from the hosts, so you know you can trust them.
If you like nonsequitur humor + leftist framing + millennial dread, this content is the content for you.
(Also people who aren’t poor millennials should listen to this because you’re probably poor too? And can relate to their stories? And they are funny which generates that good oxytocin which your body needs.)
Not going to lie, beyond the unusual and razor-sharp reads the hosts give them, I have no idea who any of these anime characters are even after months of listening. It does not matter! This is the best podcast I have ever encountered.
