Great behind-the-scenes info but …
A great podcast that has me looking forward to the next episode each week. The amount of information and anecdotes from the producers and actors is excellent and honours the memory of the men portrayed in the series. However, I have to mimic the other reviews - the host gets far too excited and much of his questions and interruptions ruin immersion of the podcast. Interestingly, it feels like the hosts sections have been re-recorded and spliced into the original interview - it’s all a bit strange! Would much prefer it if the podcast was less ‘produced’ and left as a genuine conversation between host and guest. Despite this, it’s still worth listening to if you’re a fan of the series and Second World War history.

Roger, you are doing a brilliant job. The interviews are outstanding and in your voice we hear the combination of excitement, wonder and reverence that we still feel — and has grown — for this series these 20 years on. I say “thunder.”

Great reminder to revisit an old favorite, with multiple added dimensions and ways to appreciate.
