“Well. If you’re here, you most likely love this series. But let’s speak of the podcast: barebones and simple may seem like a denigration, but for this, it is the greatest of compliments. Allowing Tom Hanks all the mic time, allows the rest of us to stand next those who made the HBO series and feel just a little closer to this seminal piece of television. There are no podcasters vying for airtime, no contrived questions, no platitudes. Just a simple, straightforward, most excellent listen. My suggestion to all who have seen the show and are suffering a bit of the fall-out of Covid isolation: grab a group of friends, listen to the podcast at some point through the week, and then every Friday get together online to watch the episode together and share your impressions and recollections. Wine and beer or Vat 69 is a must. This pod is the perfect complement to this great show.”
