Expanding Your Knowledge of Theology
I’ve been listening to the Banned Books Podcast since I started college last August. Although there are quite a few podcasts on the 1517 network this one is by far my favorite. The breaking down of heretical (and non-heretical) texts and their theologies is a great way to learn where these theologies are rooted in, how they came to be, what scripture is taken out of context, and how to dispute them.

The first 150 episodes were fantastic. I always learned something about an author, a book, theology, etc. It has just turned into political diatribe. Not saying I disagree. It isn’t why I listen to podcasts. There are better political podcasts if that’s what I want. Sorry to see.

I am looking for well-informed podcasts on Flannery O’Connor. This wasn’t one of them. The podcasters said Flannery O’Connor had a PhD. She didn’t.
