thank you waypoint staff for my life
A refreshing alternative to the movie podcast genre of “three guys with no critic or journalism experience loosely structure bad jokes around a movie”. I can only afford to go see a movie like every six weeks, and getting a thoughtful intersectional discussion on something I can just watch tonight on a friend’s streaming account is pretty great! I do not have the words to properly describe this, but I really like the structure and setup for arguments and points of view- not in general, the way this specific podcast does it. Even if I’m lukewarm at best on a specific genre or franchise, I like hearing people who are really passionate about a thing get to really chew on it for almost two hours. I also really appreciate that the women on the team aren’t constantly interrupted or talked over (although I do think most podcasts in general, including this one, could do a better job of airtime parity).

Love Waypoint’s video game coverage and I was more than happy to join them on a trip into other culture coverage. Love that they broke it off into a different feed so people wouldn’t get all worked up (mostly, I’m sure people still get whiny). Keep up the good work!
