Listen now
Description
Sam and Kenn Davenport join us to talk Eurovision. The Eurovision song contest was designed to help unify Europe after the horrors and division of World War 2. Yes it’s camp and yes the voting is often based on political motivation and nepotism. What’s wonderful about it is the way that it unites us with our differences. Some folks will sit down and watch it every year whereas this episode’s guests go a little deeper. Sam and Kenn understand the significance of each song and know the background of every artist. They were lucky enough to be at the final of 2023 in Liverpool, they also help us look ahead to this year’s competition, some of the songs and the likely winners. The opening music is "London Bayou" by Oscar Albis Rodriguez and the closing music is "BDS" by Lewis Pickford. tallboyradio.com
