Listen now
Description
Marique Bartoldus served twenty years as an NYPD officer and then wrote a book "20 and Out" about her experiences. Joining the police force when 9/11 was fresh on everybody's minds, she served time in Transit and animal cruelty units as well as being a beat cop in her precinct in Queens. She shares anecdotes from her book - such as the time she was part of an undercover sting operation as a prostitute and the times that she was forced to draw her weapon in the line of duty. Marique tells her stories in an engaging and entertaining way even though the subject matter can be serious - she also can do a wide variety of accents! If you want to buy Marique's book, you can pick it up here : Twenty and Out: A compilation of chaos experienced while serving 20 years in the New York City Police Department eBook : Bartoldus, Marique: Amazon.co.uk: Kindle Store The opening music is "Tall Boy Radio" by Andy and the Leffe Turns and the closing music is "BDS" by Lewis Pickford. tallboyradio.com
