“Excellent production, lots of fun. Ultimately just not for me. I’d say it’s much more of a historical romance than anything else. Like a Sabrina Jeffries novel centered around spiritualism. Though the the squishing bloody sound effects did fill me with me absolute dread.”

“In most supernatural stories the evil serves as a metaphor for some real world issue. In this story, the evil is (not metaphorically AT ALL) toxic masculinity. That’s it. The house has an evil presence because men are mean to their wives. That’s the mystery. Very disappointing.”
