Brilliant use of audio to create a spooky atmosphere
This is my favorite fiction podcast I’ve ever listened to so far! It really makes use of the audio format to immerse you in a haunted house, with ominous creaks and groans and footsteps that seem to come from right behind you. As the story progresses and gets even darker, the sound effects become quite visceral and raise the horror to a new level. I also love the charming musical interludes that indicate a switch in narrators. If you’re looking to get into audio fiction and you like ghosts and a dash of gore, definitely give this one a try!

I wish I could gift 10 stars. This was an amazing lesson. I recommend to anyone looking for a spine tingling a story.

In most supernatural stories the evil serves as a metaphor for some real world issue. In this story, the evil is (not metaphorically AT ALL) toxic masculinity. That’s it. The house has an evil presence because men are mean to their wives. That’s the mystery. Very disappointing.
