Frustrating hypocrisy
This is a frustrating listen for anyone other than hysterical green leftists. These people are basically terrorist organisations who aim to cause significant damage to both public and private infrastructure. They then have the gall to clutch their pearls in horror that the authorities will throw resources at stopping them. I can’t decide whether I’m annoyed at their blatant hypocrisy or their basic stupidity. Left-wing causes are not universally ‘correct’; sorry. The narrator frames the protests and terrorist tactics of the ‘victims’ as being ‘daring’, but the actions of the police are pitched as ‘appalling’. Somewhat predictably, the police strategy to infiltrate the organisation by initiating relationships with these women is presented through the lens of ‘sexist abuse’. Time to grow up hippies! If you want to play with the big boys - OK; but don’t expect them to be nice. Welcome to the real world kids.

Fascinating story and I appreciate the ‘caster’s framework in telling it. Well done.

Such a fascinating topic for a podcast, I remember reading about this story years ago but I’m intrigued to hear from the women themselves. Can’t wait for episode 2.

This story has intrigued me since I first heard about what was done to those poor women who were duped into thinking they'd found true love. I am also interested in the wives' stories so hope we hear about them as well.Read full review »
