“First - I never leave reviews for anything - however, I had to leave a review for this podcast.
The Beginning Teacher Talk podcast AND Dr. Friesen’s R.E.A.D.Y Academy has removed so much anxiety and stress I had about starting my first year of teaching. My college successfully prepared me to teach lessons and the provided the know-how to understand and break down the standards. My student teaching experience taught me more about how NOT to run a classroom rather than providing valuable insight from seasoned teachers. I knew what I wanted my classroom to look like, but didn’t know how to get there. I was always searching for podcasts to gain tips and tricks for new teachers, but never really found anything. Fortunately, I eventually stumbled across this podcast and it’s changed everything.
I feel Dr. Friesen is literally a beginning teacher lifesaver. I feel so confident that I can succeed because I am following the clear steps outlined in the Academy and I am constantly making notes in a resource binder I created.
I don’t want to come across as overly “gushing” in my review but the podcast and the Academy has been is this important to me. I am more prepared than I ever would have been for my first school year. I highly encourage you supplement this podcast with the Academy. You will not regret your decision!”
