The other side of “success”
I’ve always said to my husband “we are building our empire, we will have everything we ever need or want in life”... I’m definitely the driver and he’s along for the ride, but he is such a support to me and the building of our “empire”. It exciting to hear Yasmin use this term, makes me feel connected to her and the story she tells through her guests. Such strong women are so inspiring, it gives me hope for my future. I’ve listened to the whole series so far and I always hear something great and interesting, thank you for this platform! I particularly enjoyed episode 20 with Ashley Merrill from Lunya. As a married woman at 31, the tick of my biological clock is ticking louder than ever! But I appreciated Ashley’s rawness when she spoke more about the issues of being this business woman and having to work at her marriage, how she’s a mum and the juggle between the personal and professional self. I would love to hear more of this in upcoming podcasts. The good, the bad and the ugly. It would make me feel less alone. We are these strong women that look like we have our lives together, and we work really hard at it, so that vulnerable side of ourselves is not something we offer so publicly. But we should, because it’s all something we’ve had to deal with and overcome. We try to have it all! That determination is a blessing and a curse. If the guest is willing, please go into the personal side of having children (how they decided when was the ‘right time’), maternity leave, how having children has changed their work life and relationship to success, how they are able to show up for their kids and husband while still keeping their sense of self and happiness. Too often we skip over this part and I think it needs to be discussed more. Thank you Yasmin (and shout out to Dhru!)

This podcast is highly relevant these days when you read about the gender disparity in entrepreneurship. This...Read full review »

I so agrees with her that we need to make money less of a taboo! Money does bring freedom and that women should ask for...Read full review »

Very few times do I find a podcast that’s giving voice and stories to those I have never heard. These interviews and the way they are conducted are so awesome. I look forward to my weekly listens!
