[PART 1] How Gaslighting Impacts Black and Brown Women in the Workplace with Zenica Chatman
Description
Has anyone ever made you question what you know to be true? Did it make you question your own memory...or perhaps even your sanity?
That's gaslighting, and many Black women will experience it at work - especially when it comes to issues dealing with racism, sexism, or microaggressions.
My guest this week on Being Brown At Work is Zenica Chatman, a career coach who helps women cope with workplace bullying, including gaslighting.
Early in her career, Zenica had her own experience with gaslighting and workplace bullying. As a result, she was left "emotionally broken."
Despite what the people around her were telling her, she knew that the harassment she was experiencing wasn't just in her head. It was REAL. So she did the work to redefine her self-worth. Today, she helps other women do the same.
