“My 17.5 year old Yorkie passed on our way to the vet last week. We have some regrets about that. But are glad that my husband, our other dog and I were there when he passed. Since then we’ve felt a void in our lives. I feel your sadness and anguish. Dogs enter our lives and give us a kind of love that no human can give us. It’s beautiful and magical and makes the sadness of the end worth it. I know it will be a long time before random thoughts of him won’t set me crying. But I know it’s because Charlie was so incredibly loved.
