“I, like so many other Game of Thrones fans, have been desperately trying to fill the “void” during this very long wait for the final season of the show, as well as the wait for the release of the books! I have listened to plenty of podcasts, but hear me now....THIS IS THE BEST OF THE BEST!!!! I started it because of the “book club” where they are rereading the ASOIAF series, chapter by chapter. However, I found that the show is so much more than that! Each week, the have the “Maester’s Study” where they go over different topics from the history of Westeros, using “The World of Ice and Fire” and, newly released, “Fire and Blood” as reference. They then cover that week’s chapter, from the main series of books. The podcast is very interactive, as well! There is a Facebook group, where listeners can discuss theories, share photos, and obsess over their favorite books! They have a section of the podcast where listeners send in “ravens” with questions, theories, or comments! I’m telling you, it has something for EVERYONE! For someone, like myself, that lives for anything “Westeros related”, I am surrounded by a community of fans, just like me! It is so fun! Even if you are just a casual fan of the show, you will still really enjoy this show! Oh gosh...I haven’t even mentioned the HOSTS!!!! Ser Ezra and Ser Matt are charming, funny, and so fun to listen too! I find myself commenting along with the show, and it feels like we are all sitting around in the solar of an ancient Westerosi castle, pouring over the ever-feuding Lords and Ladies, reflecting on the history of the great houses, and theorizing what will happen next!”
