“The hosts are engaging and doing well. Where this podcast departs from the other The Meateater is the morning radio sketch comedy fishing reports. They are distracting and bring the content quality down a notch or two from the integrity of other titles from the organization. I will fast forward through this part going forward if it doesn’t go away.
The rapport of the hosts is strong and will get better. The irreverent bits work between the hosts but, again, the characters are hokey and too much like cheap morning radio banter.
Theme music is weak and, given the passing punk and hardcore references from both hosts, let’s get some better music in place! I have heard NOFX and GEAR both mentioned so let’s dial this part in! (I love the Bent! yell though.)
The generalist fishing focus is the right model. I am all in with a few things that I will overcome as outlined.”

“Made it through the first episode and wasn’t impressed. Quit halfway through the second episode. Just not enjoyable, not very informative. I’ll check again in a year if it’s still available, maybe the show will find a more coherent form at that time.”
