“The hosts are engaging and doing well. Where this podcast departs from the other The Meateater is the morning radio sketch comedy fishing reports. They are distracting and bring the content quality down a notch or two from the integrity of other titles from the organization. I will fast forward through this part going forward if it doesn’t go away.
The rapport of the hosts is strong and will get better. The irreverent bits work between the hosts but, again, the characters are hokey and too much like cheap morning radio banter.
Theme music is weak and, given the passing punk and hardcore references from both hosts, let’s get some better music in place! I have heard NOFX and GEAR both mentioned so let’s dial this part in! (I love the Bent! yell though.)
The generalist fishing focus is the right model. I am all in with a few things that I will overcome as outlined.”

“I am a loyal Meateater fan. But this podcast I listened to was rough, bad language with commentary similar to like something you would find on Howard Stern in the 90’s. I did not hear any fishing tips or even good or stories.

“Very much enjoyed the first podcast. As a person who loves all things/types of fishing, this podcast kept me interested the whole time. Great humor, current events, and information. Joe and Miles seem like two guys I’d love to sit down and enjoy a beer with while shooting the crap.”
