Amazing Grace
I was once blind, but now I see. These words best exemplify my knowledge before and after I started to listen to this podcast. For many years and thousands of dollars ago, I was lost in the sports betting world. Paying hype shops in Vegas for picks, subscribing to online services and watching the talking heads on television. I thought I was a knowledgeable bettor. Little did I know I was betting in the blind. Then I discovered Jeff on Uncle Tony’s podcast and started to read about Jeff’s statistical approach to all forms of betting. Jeff kept talking about Rufus and I thought it was his dog because Uncle Tony’s dog Jesse is also a barking guest. More research led me to discover Rufus was Rufus Peabody. More reading and work led me to discover Rufus was another savant in the world of statistics and betting. I continued my research and realized I had been betting blind. I was perplexed. The Springsteen lyric “Is a dream a lie if it don’t come true, or is it something worse?” came to fruition. My dream of banging the books was worse than a lie, it was an unmitigated failure. These days of my reformed former self, are spent listening to Bet the Process and literally electronically stalking Jeff and Rufus when they appear as guests on other shows. I am attempting to understand at least 5% of the statistical approaches presented on Bet the Process, because the 1% I have mastered thus far has made betting fun and profitable again. If you relate to my story I encourage you to sample Bet the Process and begin following the show. Unlike 99% of the other hype boys’ betting podcasts, Jeff and Rufus don’t emphasize their picks of the day, week, year or season. They empower and educate you so you can make a professional and logical decision on your own. I am no longer operating in the blind when I make my bets. Jeff and Rufus also educate you on food, invite knowledgeable guests and tell great stories. To summarize, my former betting life is much like how Jim McMahon described leaving Brigham Young University. The best view is through my rear view mirror. La Cheeserie

Long time listener. First time reviewer. I am a big fan of Jeff’s incredibly dry humor - the Phillip Rivers - Peyton Manning joke this week was classic Ma. Him interrupting Rufus is just two friends busting on each other. Bring it back.

Always learn something new. Jeff and Rufus have a great rapport. I like that they can respectfully disagree on points and provide both sides of the argument but then move on with the show and get back to the narrative. Has quickly become a must listen for me.
