Adore Adlon but who checked the levels?
I’m sure taming a dynamic vocal talent like Pamela Adlon is a challenge, but the deafening contrast between thundering show clips and the sometimes whispered comments is excruciating. Carlos, brother, please work your limiting/compressing/ audio engineering magic so we don’t have to sprint to our volume buttons to save our ears. The conversations are stellar but mic discipline is lax so when she deep throats it with a yell I’m in pain. Making this right will be tedious, maybe show an intern how and let them earn their keep. The content is fascinating, like sitting with friends for a drink, sharing behind-the-scenes details the show deserves.

More reviews of Better Things with Pamela Adlon
I could sit and listen to Pamela all day. Down to earth honest. My kinda -“Potty Mouth Home Girl” I hope to see her on my tv soon. But this podcast is Honest and Deep!

This is my favorite TV series, perhaps of all time. However, the podcast is uneven. The best episodes stay on topic and are really interesting! The least best episodes, or parts of episodes, sound like two stoned people who are cracking each other up but who aren’t funny to anyone outside the room.

I love every aspect of this show from the writing and acting to the set decorations and tons of references. Listening to your voice, Pamela, and the other beloved actors, talk “behind the scenes” gives me life.
