Fun & engaging - one of my favs
I’m so grateful for this podcast! I’ve been listening to it since its inception and have learnt so much from it that by now both Martha and Rowan feel like friends. It’s truly rare to listen to people with whom one is on the same wavelength. Thank you for being you and for putting yourself out there for our (and your 💚) benefit. 🙏🏼🙆🏻‍♂️✨ One note on the Wilder Community: I was so excited to hear about this initiative and felt so on board to join and change the world together (and mingle with those who don’t like to mingle 😂) But when I saw the cost of the app I felt really taken aback. Seeing the incredible disparity of wealth we are observing all across the world, a monthly charge of 39 USD feels inappropriate. How are we to change the world through community when it doesn’t include people from all social backgrounds and excludes a gigantic proportion of people who simply don’t have 39 USD per month? There are so many wonderful people living paycheck to paycheck or only getting by. I have a friend who’s a total wayfinder, a brilliant Cambridge educated human rights lawyer who’s a single mum and who only just gets by with her expenses. She could never afford to spend hundreds of dollars on an app. I’ve felt both angry and sad about this ever since I saw the email announcing the app (ten days ago). I know that developing an app costs a LOT of money, but if the only way to offset that cost is to exclude most of humanity from this humanity-altering community then why do it at all? What true revolutionary movement or true heartfelt community was ever NOT free or at least accessible to most? I happen to have plenty of disposable income, so in theory I could afford the app, but I’m so put off by its cost and what that means for the community it will create that I can’t even consider it. It would be wonderful if you could offer free places to people who can demonstrate a need (like the yoga app Down Dog) or just lower the cost for everyone. Strength is found in diversity and difference, after all. I still really appreciate you and your work, by the way. Sending much loving energy from a forest in France, Tomasz
