“It helps if you’re a music obsessive, but this show not only brings you more of the foul-mouthed irreverent reverence of the original Yacht Rock webseries, but adds a lot of surprising moments of earnest appreciation (especially on the lovely recent tribute to JD’s departed wife, “Leah Songs”) that nevertheless feel intrinsic to that original fire.
