This pod is beyond smooth
I loved this crew when they had their incandescent Yacht Rock web series in the mid-00s. After the final episode, I thought it would be the last I would hear from them as a collective and was thoroughly saddened. But, like a phoenix rising from the ashes of a stillborn, fictionalized but-still-kinda-truthful web show, they are back together with this podcast, forming like Voltron -- if Voltron was not a mechanized space warrior but rather a creator of arbitrary musical genres -- and giving us the podcast ear candy we have always wanted. Keep the fire, boys. Keep the fire.

This is one of the best podcasts that I’ve heard in ages! Every week I rediscover something I forgot! This podcast proves that Michael McDonald is the center of the universe because he is involved in every genre they discuss every week - even Van Halen. I love this podcast!

Flawless both conceptually and in its delivery. And the SONGS! I didn’t know Divorcecore was my favorite...Read full review »
