Miss the old poddy
I have been a listener since the beginning and have also noticed in a shift in the tone of the poddy. The audience is mums, and all the mums I know are in the thick of a cost of living crisis and managing household budgets, childcare, work etc. And while not everyone has the same situation or has to relate to the girls, it does make for a tough listen at time (FairPlay cards being an example). I find Jayde easier to listen to and think Sophie is evolving into a host that is losing some of the audience. Perhaps a change to the eps to be like a ‘Life Uncut’. They have the topic/guest as one main ep and the girls chat/catch up as a smaller second ep through the week. That way the people who come for both the chat and the guest can get both and people who find Sophie triggering and skip over that ep and go straight to the main guest ep.
