lol Sophie
Sophie’s smug remark in one of the recent episodes ‘we don’t want to upset you with the way other people live’ was immature and highlights her lack of acknowledging the audience. This is why she doesn’t actually acknowledge her privilege, saying ‘I know I’m privileged’ is different to actually showing it. An empathetic & thoughtful statement would have read something like… ‘I’ve been reflecting on the listeners comments about my life which includes comments about our Nanny’s, cleaners, bin staff… and it’s come to my realisation that our lives are worlds apart and I am sorry if that was a confronting episode in the current financial climate for so many of our listeners.. sometimes it takes the reviews for me to step aside and see the biggger picture.. I am so grateful for our BYB community & thank you for bringing this to my attention’ Myself and so many others were hoping for a comment like that.. not smugly laughing it off, which truely just shows her lack of understanding or willing to understand other peoples situations. It’s quite sad really. I hope Sophie is able to do some deeper reflection, it’s such a vital tool to have, especially with a growing following.. and the kind of message you want to send out there. Good luck with it all.

Loved the first episode. Natural voices that are a joy to listen to! Conversation flowed so well I felt like I was just at coffee listening to two friends have a chat. Can’t wait to hear more. Congratulations Soph and Jayde.
