Born on 25 January 1960, Gilmour at the age of seven sailed the Perth’s Swan River, and since then, he went on to compete in his first world championship
at the age of 16, finishing 21st.
But he has come a long way from then, Peter Gilmour is now an Australian sailing skipper and the winner of the America's Cup veteran.
