The Twelve Spies, as recorded in the Book of Numbers, were a group of Israelite chieftains, one from each of the Twelve Tribes, who were dispatched by Moses to survey the Land of Canaan for 40 days as a future home for the Israelite people, during the time when the Israelites were in the wilderness. Sometimes it can feel as if you are in the wilderness as you build your business. The key is to pray and put in the right work required to create success. It also matters how you interpret what you see and your leadership skills. What did the 12 spies report? What did the 12 spies report? Returning to the people, all 12 men reported assuredly to the children of Israel that “the land … floweth with milk and honey; and this is the fruit of it” (Num. 13:27). However, 10 of the 12 spies also fearfully reported that “the people be strong that dwell in the land, and the cities are walled, and very great.
