The New Testament contains the birth, life, teachings, miracles, death, and resurrection of Jesus, the Son of God. This story is about Jesus’ boyhood in the city of Nazareth, in the region of Galilee. Jesus fulfilled the prophecy concerning the city in which he would live. Matthew 2:23: So the family went and lived in a town called Nazareth. This fulfilled what the prophets had said, “He will be called a Nazarene.” Even at a young age, Jesus desired to know God and do His will. He was so determined to learn more about God that he lost all track of time while he was in the Temple at Passover. He stayed much longer than those he was traveling with, including his parents. This was in no way rebellion towards his parents, but an overwhelming hunger for knowledge and understanding of God.
