“Listening to epi 179. This is not the only person or podcast where I have heard the same point of view, that being if a witness does not show or express fear without standard signs of shock they are most likely bearing false witness. Medically trained individuals will tell you reactions vary with each person. I personally am often stared at for laughing in very traumatic situations. I’m not laughing because I think things are lighthearted but as a nervous reaction, it’s how I release stress. You should have see me laugh so hard I peed my pants after the Cessna 172 my husband was flying with me on board loss the tip of one side of its propeller. He got us down without personal injury but the plane was a write off. I got out of that plane walked off about 50 yards on shaking legs drop to the ground and started laughing until I peed my pants. I laugh when I tell the story to this day but I’m not fibbing. Liz, BC Canada”
