Bro, as he’s known, is a multispecies angler best known for his influence on the sport of ice fishing. Several popular ice fishing products are based on his ideas. He has been a contributor to F + W Ice Fishing Annual, Field & Stream, FLW Outdoors, Game & Fish Publications, In-Fisherman Magazine, In-Fisherman’s Ice Guide, Midwest Outdoors Magazine, North American Fisherman Magazine, Outdoor News, Walleye Insider and many other publications and websites. Co-designed Frabill’s “Bro Series Ice Fishing Combos” Co-developed Northland Fishing Tackle’s “Bro’s Bug Collection” Pioneered the “Bro Dropper,” a modified ice fishing dropper rig Pioneered “Slip Dragging,” an open water walleye presentation. Capt. Ross Robertson has made his complete living chasing walleye as a full time professional angler for more than 20 years. Through the years he has worn many hats including time as a fishing guide, boat salesman, TV host, outdoor writer, product designer, tournament fisherman, speaker, radio host and podcaster to name a few. Ross fishes ice-out to ice-up on the Great Lakes. He spends the majority of the year walleye fishing on Lake Erie’s Western and Central basins.
