Just ok
The epic nature of the story is intriguing, but the constant screaming, growling & rasping vocalizations are annoying and grating. It’s very distracting and detracts from the story. Will listen to the second episode to see if it improves. Listened to The Rams—way less annoying than the irritating voices on The Wolves but still not great. Storylines for each a little boringly similar—child of the leader trying to prove themselves while everyone scoffs.

The best world building and story telling. Especially appreciate the tight release schedule

In a genre which ia crowded with cliches and at stereotypes, this series really stands out head and shoulders. The cast and the writing shine with several stand out performances. Sound design seems elevated / better compared to previous Q code productions. Eagerly awaiting for season 2.

I’ve listened to all but a few of QODE’s podcasts and this one already holds a special place among them. It’s fantasy, mythology and tragedy, and (though less of it) science-fiction feeding beautiful soundscapes, dramatic settings, and characters who stay in mind well after a listen or two.
